First of all, do you have the right to vote? If you’re a Scandinavian who’s lived here three years, or any other sort of foreigner who’s lived here five years, the answer is yes – you can vote in the municipality where you have legal residence. The Ministry of Justice has a neat little webpage with more information on your rights.
Second, do you know what the different parties stand for? We recommend you check out Grapevine’s election guide and acquaint yourself with what the different parties (save for the Leftist-Greens, who have still to answer us) had to say to us.
Third, do you know where to vote? Click here, then click on your municipality to get a list of places where you can vote.
You have until 9:00 in the morning until 22:00 on Saturday to vote, so no lame excuses about having to wash your hair or fix the TV antenna. Call your friends and make a trip out of it. Get down to the polls and vote, then go out for a drink to congratulate yourselves in using a right few people in the world actually have. But don’t drink too much – you’ll want to get back home so you can check out our Election Liveblog, so you can follow the results.
