Airwaves have added some new names to the 2016 festival lineup.
As well as the already-announced PJ Harvey, Julia Holter, múm and Kronos Quartet, they’ve added seminal US garage-rock band The Sonics, moody indie-rock quartet Warpaint, Efterklang’s electronic project Liima, electro-Swedes Dolores Haze, new supergroup Minor Victories (featuring members of Mogwai, Slowdive and Editors), amongst others.
On the Icelandic side, highlights include the addition of Grapevine’s 2015 album of the year winer Tonik Ensemble, plus Samaris, Milkywhale, Vök, Úlfur Úlfur, dj flugvél og geimskip, Auður, Kælan Mikla, Hermigervill, Futuregrapher, Emmsjé Gauti, Karó, and loads more.
